Not ugly at all. The cable has an oddly nice feeling plastic and the red is half a step from classic fire-engine red to give it a nice pleasing dusky hue. B/c that's what you're looking for in your cable, I'm sure - aesthetic beauty. Extremely prompt delivery and well-packaged by vendor.
